A fantastic original antique Victorian period desk in mahogany, dating from the 1880-1900 period.

This is very well made and of excellent quality. It’s a useful size, and has quite small proportions for a pedestal desk. The pedestals sit on plinth bases with concealed casters, and this has beautiful solid brass handles. It is finished nicely on all sides so can be used as a free standing item, and this breaks down into three pieces for ease of transport. The drawers are all graduated in depth & have locks & fine dovetails. The front sides of the desk are all grooved.

The leather is hand coloured and gold tooled, we have had this desk completely re-polished, so the condition is excellent for its age.
