A wonderful antique Regency period burr walnut writing table / desk. It was made in England, it dates from around the 1810-1830 period.

It is of superb quality and has a lovely, compact design. It stands on beautifully turned and fluted legs with brass casters, the drawer has high quality brass ring pull handles. There is a gorgeous inset black leather writing surface with tooled edges, the walnut has a beautiful colour tone and patina, with stunning grain patterns. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with some normal wear and patina remaining beneath the polish here and there.
