A very fine quality antique Victorian mahogany writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from the 1860-1880 period.

It is very well made and is a useful size, with a polished back so it can be used as a free standing item. It sits on finely turned legs with brass casters, the drawers have brass handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. There is a beautiful leather writing surface with tooled edges, it has a gorgeous patina and colour tone.

This is in great condition for its age, we have just had it re-polished. There are some small marks and indentations beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
