A fantastic original William IV period desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1840’s.

It is of amazing quality and is of lovely proportions. The top has three drawers with turned mahogany handles, and it sits on a very bold carved mahogany stretcher base. The legs and stretchers have wonderful twisted carving and the cabriole feet are beautifully scrolled. This has an inset gold tooled leather top and a lovely moulded edge. The back is also polished, so it looks just as great from the back.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with only some minor wear beneath the polish here and there.
