A magnificent and extremely beautiful antique French desk in mahogany, dating from around the 1860-1880’s period.

It is of amazing quality, plus very large and very impressive! This kidney shape design on such a large desk is very rare to see.

It has a gorgeous burgundy gold tooled leather writing surface, and is beautifully finished on all sides. The gilt bronze mounts on the corners and escutcheons are beautifully cast and are very high quality as well. This has a huge working area and also lots of space inside the solid oak drawers. This desk comes with an original key that works for the two side drawers.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age with a bit of natural wear on the polish around the bottom of the legs.
