This re-constructed antique mahogany bookcase has just been made to order for the CEO of Christies.
They had one made by us about 5 years ago & wanted another one to match for the same room. It’s been made to the same high quality standard as all our bespoke bookcases & the cabinet maker has used some antique mahogany in certain places to give it more character. The shelves are all adjustable on shark teeth supports & they have mahogany edges. It separates into 4 sections, top cornice, two middle sections & the plinth. As always these can be made to any size & adapted to any style you like. They can be all polished inside which looks very smart & can be done in most woods too. We normally tend to use new & old woods, because that’s the most cost effective way, however they can be made entirely out of new woods or mainly out of old woods, depending on your requirements & budgets. Please note this one is sold, but if you wish to order a similar of different model, they take about 4 weeks to make & polish. We normally have one or two examples of bespoke bookcases in our showroom, so you can get an idea of the quality.
