A beautiful antique Edwardian mahogany caned armchair, made in England and dating from around the 1900-1910 period.
This is of superb quality, it has a elegant yet sturdy design. The back rest is beautifully caned, this stands on cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving at the knees, terminating in claw and ball feet. There is also lovely carving around the whole lower edge.
The condition is excellent, we have had this re-polished, the seat has been newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. There is just one tiny perforation to the cane on one side panel, hardly noticeable in real life but slightly more noticeable in the images, as it stands on a white backdrop.
