A stunning antique French gilt wood stool, dating from around the 1880’s period.

It is of incredibly fine quality and is a lovely, petite size. It stands on beautifully tapered legs with a cross stretchered base, the entire frame is finished in ornate carving with a beautiful gilt finish. The circular seat can rotate on a thick and sturdy thread, which raises and lowers the height.

The condition is excellent for its age, we have had the seat newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric.
