A beautiful and very well made antique Swedish satin birch duet piano stool / bench. This was recently imported from Sweden, it dates from the 1900-1920 period.

The quality is excellent this has a gorgeous and very useful design. Designed for duets at a piano, this is very useful as a storage bench for an entry way, window seat or even at the foot of a bed. There are beautiful satin birch grain patterns on all sides, the front and back are finished identically, so it can be used as a free standing item. The upholstered seat lifts up to reveal a useful storage compartment, this has beautifully shaped sabre legs.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, and the seat has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age.
