A stunning antique Victorian carved walnut corner chair of the highest order. This was made in Europe, possibly France, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.

The quality is outstanding, this chair has some of the most skilled carving work we have ever seen. It has a slightly neoclassical style, the arm rests have incredibly beautifully detailed faces of Egyptian looking women, each even has a different facial expression. There is lots of other fine carving seen throughout the solid walnut frame.

The condition is excellent, the walnut has been revived and oiled, it is upholstered in a very clean patterned fabric.
