An outstanding pair of antique French gilt wood side chairs, dating from around the 1890-1910 period.

They are of superb quality, with gorgeous carving throughout. They sit on fluted legs with carved rosettes at the knees, the back rests are beautifully caned.

The gilt finish has just the right amount of wear, with different colours coming through the gilt. The frames are solid and perfectly distressed with a lovely patina. We have just had the seats re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for their age.
