A fantastic set of twelve antique shield back mahogany dining chairs. They were made in England, and date from around the 1950’s.

The quality is outstanding, the pierced shield backs have intricate Prince of Wales feather carving, they have serpentine shaped front edges to the seats. The bases are stretchered for extra support, with tapered and grooved legs terminating in spade feet. The frames are all solid mahogany, with a lovely colour tone and patina.

We have had them revived and re-polished, the drop in seats have been newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. All the chairs ar strong and sturdy, the condition is excellent throughout.

We also have a very large triple pedestal mahogany dining table that came with these chairs, it comfortably seats all twelve, seen listed under our other items for sale.
