Very stylish looking antique Swedish three seater leather Chesterfield in good original condition & with a wonderful colour, plus loads of character. This Chesterfield is basically a Swedish take on the classic English version. I think the only way it differs is with the inside of the arms & the back having a slant instead of being more upright. I believe this makes it more comfortable & also gives it a sleeker look which means it would look good in modern settings too. It’s deep buttoned inside, with a three partitioned seat & sits on square tapered satin birch feet. This sofa is a comfortable three seater & looks good from all angles. I would date this piece to around the 1950’s period. The back & sides are generously rolled over in sections & there is a row of hand tacking just showing under that. The colour of the leather naturally aged, which is not something you could make today. There are also a matching pair of Chesterfield armchairs on this site which came from the same source in Sweden in the same shipment.
