A stunning antique French style lacquered chinoiserie bureau plat desk. This was made in the USA by Drexel, it dates from around the 1970’s.

This is of superb quality, we obtained it privately from an amazing private residence in Knightsbridge. It is beautifully finished in black lacquer with gold embellishments. The top has a burr elm border and inset black tooled leather in three sections. There are high quality ormolu mounts, three useful drawers on the front, and the back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

The condition is excellent, with only some extremely minor wear here and there. We also have the matching console table, pair of bookcases and chest of drawers that came with this, seen listed under our other items for sale.
