A superb antique Victorian mahogany barley twist writing table / desk. This was made in Sweden, it dates from around the 1850-1860 period.

It is of extremely high quality, sitting on beautifully turned barley twist legs and brass casters. The drawer fronts and back side of this are finished in lovely flame mahogany, so this can be used as a free standing item. The drawers have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and brass escutcheons, this comes with a locking key. The top has an inset faded black leather writing surface.

We have had this recently re-polished to a high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
