A smart and extremely well made antique Victorian mahogany writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is of superb quality and is a very useful size. The inset leather top is hand coloured with tooled edges, the top edge is nicely cross banded. This sits on beautifully turned legs with brass casters, the drawer handles are also beautifully turned. The drawers have fine hand cut dovetailed joints and the interior has been painted blue some time ago.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with some minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there.
