A superb antique William IV period armchair in solid mahogany and leather. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-40 period.
It is of superb quality, with a very sturdy and bold design. The fluted baluster legs are beautifully turned, this has a deep buttoned upholstered back and it’s very comfortable. The burgundy leather has a gorgeous patina and compliments the mahogany nicely.
We have had the wood revived & polished, the leather which may be original has been revived, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor historical wear here and there, commensurate for age.
