An absolutely stunning antique writing table in rosewood with an inset leather top. This is from the William IV period and dates from around the 1830-40 period.
It is large and impressive, the quality is fantastic throughout. This sits on two thick cylindrical bases that sit on finely carved hairy paw feet. There is lovely beading around the edges, this is beautifully finished front and back so can be used as a free standing piece. The two drawers on the front are solid oak lined and have fine dovetailed joints. The rosewood has stunning grain patterns and a gorgeous colour throughout.
The top has been re-leathered, hand coloured and gold tooled around the edges. We have also had this recently French polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.
