A magnificent pair of antique Regency Style mahogany & bronze armchairs. They were recently imported from Sweden, and they date from around the 1880-1900 period.

The quality is outstanding and they have an absolutely gorgeous design. There are fantastic gilt bronze mounts on the arm rests and knees, with solid brass hairy paw feet and a brass trim all around the frame. The mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and patina, it is also beautifully carved at the arm rests and knees.

We have had the frames re-polished and they have been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for their age, with just some very minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there.
