A very interesting nest of tables with embossed leather tops, which look like they were made in South or Central America. However, they could be English, with the tops in the style of.
The leather tops depict Aztec or possibly Inca gods, they have exceptional details and are extremely well made. The frames are mahogany, with beautifully turned legs and serpentine shaped lower frieze edges.
The condition is excellent for their age, we have given them a clean and fresh wax polish.
I would date them to around the 1910-20’s period.
