An exceptional antique George III period satin wood bonheur du jour writing desk. This was made in England, it dates from the 1790’s period.

It is of incredibly fine quality, it is a petite and elegant size. There is a beautiful fan shaped back gallery, all edges are cross banded with walnut and this stands on beautifully splayed legs. There is a cross stretchered base with an impressive acorn finial, the back of this is nicely finished so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
