A gorgeous antique lacquered chinoiserie console / side table. This is in the classic Georgian period east Asian style, it was made in England and dates from around the 1920’s.

It is a lovely, petite size and is beautifully decorated with classical East Asian scenes. It is less common to find cream coloured chinoiserie pieces like this, there are wonderful colours of red, green, gold and blue that stand out on the cream. This has two outwards swinging compartments on the front, the back is also nicely finished with a dummy drawer, so this can be used as a free standing item.

The condition is great for its age, with just some minor surface wear and rubbing to the lacquer here and there.
