A magnificent antique Victorian dining table in burr walnut. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1870 period.
It is of amazing quality, with a gorgeous burr walnut top with serpentine edges, and a fabulously carved base. The carving on the base is really quite special, have a good look at the close up images to see the intricate details.
The burr walnut grain patterns on the top are stunning, this has a gorgeous colour tone and patina. The top flips up and can be removed entirely for ease of transport.
We have had this recently re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
Please Note – When the top is tilted, the bottom sits nicely between the legs. The top can be twisted around so it sits long ways with the legs, but then it can’t be fully tilted, because it will then hit the legs low down.
