An exceptional pair of antique William IV burr walnut side tables. They were made in England, they date from around the 1830-1840 period.
It is extremely rare to find a pair of this model. They are of outstanding quality and have a very useful, practical design. They have stunning burr walnut grain patterns throughout the backs are also nicely finished so they can be used as free standing items. Each has a singe drawer with turned handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. They stand on central columns which have beautiful carving at the bottoms, terminating in nicely shaped platform bases on bun feet.
We have had them stripped and re-polished to a high standard, the condition is excellent for their age. There is just some extremely minor historical wear and patina remaining here and there beneath the polish.
